Secretarial and Office Administration Courses (Level 1 & 2)

City & Guilds Business Skills Diploma gives candidates the opportunity to achieve a qualification that offers a combined range of single subjects that suit their needs. Ideal for anyone wanting better knowledge of business in general or specific areas.

The qualifications include a range of administrative, finance and key skills and are targeted for those looking to work, or working in secretarial or office-based positions in a business environment.

One can choose to do the full Diploma which after successful completion entitles the candidates to the Diploma certificate issued by City & Guilds. The option of Single subjects is also available and a certificate by City & Guilds is issued on that subject.

This is a recognized qualification by the Malta Qualification Council as MQF Level 3 (O Level equivalent)

 

Computerised Accounts

  • processing accounting transactions
  • producing customer and supplier documentation
  • producing reports such as aged creditor analysis

English for Business Communications

Book-Keeping & Accounts

  • Check and correct errors arising from inaccurate/incomplete/missing entries in the ledger and day books
  • Provide for depreciation of fixed assets using ledger accounts
  • Account for accruals, prepayments, bad debts and provide for doubtful debts
  • Prepare individual accounts in purchase and sales ledgers
  • Prepare purchase ledger control accounts and sales ledger control accounts
  • Complete an extended trial balance.

 

Customer Care

  • Describe how to deliver good customer service to different types of customers
  • Describe organisational customer service policies and procedures
  • Explain the benefits to an organisation of having a good reputation
  • Describe the qualities and attributes required in the customer service role
  • Explain the importance of responding effectively to customers' needs, expectations and complaints
