This course will prepare students for the O’level examination in May by developing the ability to use the language effectively for purposes of practical communication. Discussions on the development of the Maltese Language, culture, folklore and traditions will be tackled. Current topics such as innovative musical trends will also be discussed to prepare students for the oral exam. Exercises for formation of compositions and essay writing, formal and informal letters, reports, adverts will be given. There will also be grammar lessons on adjectives, nouns, morphology, lexicons and synthesis. As far as literature is concerned, there will be analysis of Qawsalla text book which is part of the current syllabus and analysis of prose and poetry.
